Pig Dinner was this weekend.... and by God was it one hell of a Pig Dinner!
We all had fun Friday night hanging around the Fraternity House hanging out with graduates, hearing stories, and of course watching the pledges cook their pig. Then Saturday I got to spend some time with my father (who is also a Fiji) on his birthday. We went out to lunch and then we were going to go to the shooting range, however the weather was too inclement to enjoy shooting outdoors. So we instead went to a bar where we meet up with some of our brothers and enjoyed a few pitchers of beer.
Bringing in the Pig! |
Then of course Saturday night we had our cigar social and our annual Frank Norris Pig Dinner. The cigar social was awesome. All of my brothers (including grads) at the house smoking fine cigars in fine attire. I don't believe there are many things in this world that can beat good brotherhood. Then we had the dinner and we enjoyed some BBQ (it just made sense)

Good times at my house |
After dinner we adjourned back to my house where we played some games and got ready for the after party at the country club. Some of our lady friends were able to join us (excluding my girlfriend unfortunately), and we headed to the country club where we danced the night away!
I am already looking forward to Pig Dinner for next year. It is one of the few occasions when so many of our brothers can come together. I do have a couple of my pledge brothers graduating this year, and it will be sad to see them go. But I know they are off to do big things for themselves.
I know you are reading this Travis, you son of a bitch! I'm going to miss the hell out of you man. P!
I have had the pleasure of living with Travis for most of my undergraduate career, and the memories I have made living with this guy are too numerous to count. Like the time him and Hobbs shoved fireworks under my door, or the time we went to the creek to go fishing and caught craw fish instead (we didn't know how to cook them, but we did and it was bad), or our movie dates. lol. I wish you the best of luck Brother!
I know Ben doesn't follow my blog but you happen to see this I'm going to miss you too Brother. P!
From the outside looking in, you can't understand it. From the inside looking out, you can't explain it.
